“ Had the pleasure of dining at red's this evening with the family. Dining space is cute and comfortable not too loud. Service was excellent we were seated pretty quickly for a Friday evening. Our dishes came out perfect and not too long of wait. I enjoyed the beef ribs and hubby loved his chicken Caesar salad. The sweet potato fries were delicious. ”

“ Celebrating a birthday I decided to try Red's Barbecue. For appetizer we ordered a full order of fried onions with one half being spicy and the other one regular. Both were very good and the spicy was not overwhelming at all. I ordered the half chicken all white meat. It was really great they would either give you all white or dark or mixed. Chicken was very tender and was falling off the bone. The barbecue sauce is really good. Coleslaw had a hint of pineapple and was really good. We also ordered the tri-tip which came with sweet potato fries and mac and cheese. They're mac and cheese was really good and better than most of the restaurants and Simi Valley who also served Mac and cheese. They tri-tip was very good as well. I should mention that the servings are large and you're definitely getting your money's worth. I'm a really good eater and still had to get it to go box. They have a small dessert menu all of which looks very good but after all the food there was no way we were going to order dessert. Well, to our surprise we end up getting that huge martini glass full of ice cream chocolate syrup and whipped cream. This was complimentary because of my birthday. Last but not least, the service. The service was absolutely phenomenal. Our servers were Chris and Nicole. Chris has a great personality, very personable, and needless to say very knowledgeable of the menu inside and out. He also had a great sense of humor and you can tell that he puts 100% into anything he does. I would easily say he is the best server we've experienced in our three years of living in Simi Valley. The service was so good that we asked to speak with the manager, Elsa and expressed our appreciation for the great food and service. She too was very polite and gave us additional information about Reds and their delivery promotion anywhere in Simi Valley. Flavorful restaurants have been very hard to find in Simi Valley. Many of the longtime residents here told me that this has been the reputation of the city for many years. That being said, Red's is a must go to for anybody in or outside the city. “ It's been almost a year since our last visit to Red's. Taking the ribeyes off the menu sort of made the choice for us as that was the family favorite item. I was really in the mood for some beef ribs and floated the idea of giving Red's a try again and luckily my idea was welcomed by the crew. Our late lunch was simply wonderful. I had the half order of beef ribs with bbq beans and rice pilaf. Absolutely delicious and I wound up taking two ribs, a roll, plus most of the beans home for a second meal. Oh, and before I forget, our amazing server Braeden, recommended the buffalo cauliflower appetizer and it was incredible. Totally unique with an incredible crunch and not too hot flavor. Outstanding! The iced tea was perfect. Tasted very fresh and was served with a lemon wedge and plenty of ice, in a word, wonderful. It seems that during the time away from Red's, there were some great changes. I know I'll be back soon to try more of their menu. ”
